The mouth is very sensitive to any anomaly or to a change to its unique natural bite, so I don’t like to use random size straps or screws, because it leaves the adjustment process open to human error. My device lets the patients go forward to their own unique forward bite. That is why some of the other appliances on the market use a one contact point in the front of the mouth to let the jaw settle in its own bite. I capture this unique quality of the bite at the time of the bite and then give this positive contact point in all areas of the mouth on a polished surface, with no interference.

I have been in the dental practice since 1977. When I started school, I went to study engineering. I decided to change careers due to the saturation of engineers in the field, and started my dental career in 1977. Most people consider themselves a Dental Technician; I consider myself a Dental Engineer. I have worked in the greatest areas of the dental field. I have been an associate teacher for the Removable Prosthetics Department at U.S.C. School of Dentistry in Los Angeles, CA. I have given speeches on sleep apnea at Cedars Sinai Medical Center Hospital for oral surgeons. I give selected classes on removable and sleep apnea by request. In April 9, 2009 I received a Provisional Patent on my Sleep Device. I practice in the Los Angeles area.
